Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 — in force since 11 September 2026. Notice given under Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 10 June 2021 (doc. web no. 9677876).

This page explains what cookies are, which ones www.carlomansi.com uses, what they do, how long they last and how you can change your mind at any time. The data controller is Liquorificio Carlo Mansi di Mansi Carlo, Via Vescovado 1, 84010 Minori (SA), Italy, VAT 00300110657, info@carlomansi.com. For everything else (rights, recipients, retention) see the Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the sites you visit send to your device, where they are stored and then sent back to those same sites on your next visit. Alongside cookies there are technologies with similar effects, which this notice treats in the same way: browser local storage and session storage, pixels and invisible images, fingerprinting and device identifiers.

They differ by who installs them — first-party cookies, managed by the owner of this site, and third-party cookies, managed by others — and by how long they last: session cookies are deleted when you close the browser, persistent ones remain until the stated expiry or until you delete them.

Legally, only two families matter: technical cookies, which Article 122 of the Privacy Code allows without consent because they are needed to carry out the communication or to provide the service you requested, and every other tracking tool, which requires your prior, free, specific, informed and revocable consent.

2. The categories we use

Summary of categories
CategoryUsed forConsentOn by default
Necessary technicalRunning the site, the language switch, the quote-request cart, form security and remembering your cookie choiceNot required (Article 122 Privacy Code)Yes
Preference (functional)Remembering non-essential settings you choseRequiredNo
StatisticsMeasuring site visits in aggregate formRequiredNo
Third-party content and marketingShowing embedded maps and videos; any advertising toolsRequiredNo

Until you make a choice the site installs only technical cookies: scripts and content in the other categories stay blocked and are not even downloaded from the providers’ servers.

3. Necessary technical cookies

They require no consent and cannot be switched off from the banner, because without them the features you asked for do not work. You can still block them from your browser settings, accepting that parts of the site will stop working.

List of technical cookies and equivalent storage
NameType and providerPurposeDuration
cm_cookie_consentFirst-party cookie (carlomansi.com)Stores the categories you accepted or refused, the date of your choice and the notice version, so the banner is not shown on every page6 months

cm_cookie_consent_dismissedFirst-party session storageRemembers that you closed the banner with the X without choosing, so it is not repeated on every page of the same session. Closing is not consentUntil the browser is closed

cm_quote_cartFirst-party local storageKeeps the products and quantities you added to the quote-request cart until you submit the formUntil the request is sent or manually cleared
PHPSESSIDFirst-party cookie generated by the serverIdentifies the browsing session, required to submit forms and to protect against automated submissionsSession
cm_form_tokenFirst-party cookieAnti-forgery token for the forms (CSRF and spam protection)Session

Note on the current version of the site. While the WordPress and WooCommerce version remains online, the quote-request cart also uses the first-party technical cookies wp_woocommerce_session_* and yith_ywraq_session_* (2 days), which keep the cart contents and its link to the session, plus wordpress_* and wp-settings-* for people who log into the admin panel only. They are all technical cookies and serve the purposes described above.

4. Preference cookies

They remember non-essential settings, for instance accessibility options (font size, high contrast) or a dismissed notice. They are installed only if you switch on the “Preference cookies” category in the banner. They are first-party cookies lasting at most 12 months. If the category stays off the site still works, but forgets those choices at every visit.

5. Statistics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to learn how many people visit the site, which pages they come from and what they read. The tool is configured with IP truncation, Google signals and advertising personalisation switched off, and is not combined with other Google services for profiling. The script is loaded only after you switch on the “Statistics cookies” category; without it the site applies Google Consent Mode v2 with every consent parameter denied.

Provider notice: policies.google.com/privacy — types of cookies used by Google: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. You can switch Analytics off on every site by installing the browser opt-out add-on. The processing may involve transfers to the United States: see point 6 of the Privacy Policy.

If we later activate advertising or remarketing tools (for example Google Ads or Meta Pixel), this notice will be updated before they go live and fresh consent will be requested.

6. Third-party content and marketing

Some pages embed content supplied by third parties. It stays blocked until you switch on the “Third-party content and marketing” category: in its place you will see a box explaining what it is and letting you decide whether to load it, even for that single item. Once the content loads, the provider receives your IP address, information about your browser and the page you came from, and may set its own cookies: for that processing the provider answers as an independent controller.

Most common third-party cookies

NID, CONSENT, SOCSGoogle Maps — Google Ireland LimitedMap display preferences, security and memory of choices made on Google services6 months to 2 years
VISITOR_INFO1_LIVEYouTube — Google Ireland LimitedEstimates bandwidth and selects the player interface6 months

Videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode through the youtube-nocookie.com domain: Google sets no profiling cookies until you start playback, but it still receives your IP address the moment the content loads. That is why the content stays blocked until you consent. Provider notice: Google (Maps and YouTube).

Links to our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages are plain links and set no cookies until you click them: at that point you leave the site and the destination platform’s notice applies.

8. How to delete cookies from your browser

Regardless of the banner, you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking technical cookies as well will stop some features working, such as the quote-request cart.

Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode and the Global Privacy Control signal: our banner never pre-selects any category, so no tracking starts before an explicit choice of yours.

9. Rights, complaints and contacts

In relation to data processed through cookies you may exercise the rights under Articles 15‑22 GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) and withdraw your consent at any time under Article 7(3) GDPR. Write to info@carlomansi.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, or with the supervisory authority of your habitual residence. Full details of your rights are in the Privacy Policy.

10. Updates to this document

This notice is updated whenever the cookies used by the site or the embedded third-party services change. The version and effective date are shown at the top of the page. Where the changes concern tools subject to consent, the banner will be shown again to collect a fresh choice.
